  • Exciting things to come!
  • 8/21/2019
  • We have been working for some time with several developers to find the right community for us to feature some of our homes and the energy saving features that we include in them. We believe that we may have found that location. Details are still being worked out, but this would be a community of high efficiency green homes centered around a very interesting concept...which I can't divulge at this time. You'll just have to check back often as we progress in this process and are able to share more details. Stay tuned !!!!
  • CEO NEAR DEATH - Just Kidding
  • 8/08/2019
  • Last week John was absent from the job sites due to contracting Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever from a tick bite. Thanks to Justin and the crews everything continued as normal and lots of Doxycycline later, John is on the mend. Ticks and tick bites are nothing new to us since we spend so much time walking uncleared and heavily wooded lots all day, but we also take a lot of preventative measures to keep them at bay and prevent tick related illnesses. Never the less, they still happen from time to time (no one's perfect, right?), so we thought we'd use this incident to pass on our tips for combating ticks when you are walking your own lot or other wooded areas.
  • AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY
  • 7/19/2019
  • Morningstar Homes is proud to have been able to be one of the primary sponsors for the annual American Cancer Society Golf Tournament in the Chapel Ridge community. We have been one of the major sponsors of this tournament since its inception and do so to support those who are struggling with a Cancer related illness. Having experienced the hardship of losing a loved one to Cancer we hope that this small effort on our part may help another person in a similar situation.

  • Happy Fourth of July!

  • FOURTH OF JULY GREETINGS!
  • 2019 rolls in with a bang!
  • 1/24/2019
  • 2018 was a good year for us, but with the record wet weather, it was also a challenging year. We are really hoping that 2019 will bring us some more "normal" North Carolina weather. As for 2019, we are starting off with a bang to say the least. Currently we have 5 custom homes under construction in various locations. Chapel Ridge is still on a roll and we have 3 in there alone. We have five design contracts and these homes are are all projected to start this year. We have also brought on a trainee to start learning the business and helping us with our day to day tasks. As usual, I am behind on updating our gallery but promise to have some floorplans and photos up over the next two weeks. Lastly, as a bit of a tease, we are looking to enter into a world class community currently under development in the greater triangle area. If all goes as planned, we should be building models for this in 2020.
  • Things are really heating up!
  • 6/21/2018
  • Well, things are really heating up at Morningstar Homes...and not just because it is 98 degrees out! It seems like everything we had in design this spring is all coming up at the same time. In Chapel Ridge we have three coming out of design with one starting in the next 30 days, a second in the next 45 days and the last starting in the next 90 days. It looks like we may have two new clients to start work on designing thier homes within the next 90 days...these should start this fall.
  • We Welcome our newest team member
  • 5/02/2018
  • We are very excited to have Justin Lile returing to Morningstar Homes! Justin started working for Morningstar as he worked his way through college. After completing his degree he became a full time project manager for Morningstar building some of our larger custom homes. After 5 years he decided to leave to broaden his knowledge of the industry and worked for the last 5 years for one of the largest homebuilders in the nation. With an increase knowledge of Purchasing and Estimating, as well as a more roubust understanding of the systems that a large homebuilder uses, he has returned to take over the day to day management of Morningstar homes. He will be responsible for general oversight of the company as well as overseeing the construction of our homes in the Chatham County area.
  • Morningstar Homes is growing!
  • 3/30/2018
  • I am really excited that say that we are looking forward to one of our busiest years coming up this year. We have one started in Chapel Ridge, two more coming out of design in Orange County (should start in the next month) and two more just going into design (one in Chapel Ridge and the other on acreage in Chatham County). As a result of this I had to start thinking about bringing someone on to help me with the day to day field management of these jobs. Stay tuned for a big announcement on this in the coming weeks!
  • I REALLY HOPE ALL THIS WET COLD WEATHER IS BEHIND US!
  • 2/05/2018
  • Time for another update! We just finished our last home in Chapel Ridge just before the holidays and were able to take some much needed time off to spend with Family. January saw us crank back up with 3 homes going into design, all presales and one getting ready to start in mid February. We will be starting a custom home in Chapel Ridge for a couple relocating to our beautiful state from Florida in mid February. To see more information about this home click here.
